The short version
Pose detection, face processing and the cover composite run on your device — in your browser on this site, on your iPhone in the app. Your photos are not uploaded to us, stored by us, or used to train anything. The only processing that ever touches a server is the app’s optional Pro retouch, and it asks first.
What we do collect
- Email address — only if you join the launch list or request a full-resolution cover. Used for the cheat sheet, launch news and nothing else; unsubscribe anytime.
- Anonymous usage events — page views and tool events (a cover was made, a download happened) via privacy-respecting analytics. No photos, no faces, no advertising identifiers.
The web Cover Maker
The photo you upload is read by your browser and never leaves it. The person cutout runs on a model downloaded to your device. Downloads are generated locally. Closing the tab removes everything.
The iOS app
Camera frames are analysed on-device for pose coaching; covers are composited on-device. If you choose the Pro AI retouch, that single image is sent to our processing provider, retouched and returned; it is not retained. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Sharing & third parties
We use an email service (Resend) to hold the launch list and hosting/analytics (Vercel) to serve this site. Neither receives your photos. We don’t sell data — there’s nothing to sell.
Your rights
Email privacy@coverpose.app to see or delete what we hold on you (it will be an email address at most). UK GDPR applies; we honour it globally.
