Who we are

The short version
Pose detection, face processing and the cover composite run on your device — in your browser on this site, on your iPhone in the app. Your photos are not uploaded to us, stored by us, or used to train anything. The only processing that ever touches a server is the app’s optional Pro retouch, and it asks first.
What we do collect
- Email address — only if you join the launch list or request a full-resolution cover. Used for the cheat sheet, launch news and nothing else; unsubscribe anytime. Lawful basis: your consent, withdrawable at any time.
- Anonymous usage events — page views and tool events (a cover was made, a download happened) via privacy-respecting analytics. No photos, no faces, no advertising identifiers. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which features are used.
The web Cover Maker
The photo you upload is read by your browser and never leaves it. The person cutout runs on a model downloaded to your device. Downloads are generated locally. Closing the tab removes everything.
The iOS app
Camera frames are analysed on-device for pose coaching; covers are composited on-device. If you choose the Pro AI retouch, that single image is sent to our processing provider, retouched and returned; it is not retained. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Sharing & third parties
We use an email service (Resend) to hold the launch list and hosting/analytics (Vercel) to serve this site. Neither receives your photos. We don’t sell data — there’s nothing to sell.
How long we keep it
The launch list until you unsubscribe, at which point the address is removed. Analytics is aggregated and identifies nobody. Photos are not kept at all — on the web they never leave your browser, and a Pro retouch is returned and not retained.
Where it goes
Our providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on the UK's approved transfer safeguards. Nothing we send them includes a photograph, except the single image you choose to send for a Pro retouch.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to a use, withdraw consent, or ask for it in a portable form — in practice it will be an email address at most. Write to privacy@coverpose.app and we will answer within one month, free. UK GDPR applies; we honour it globally.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us at privacy@coverpose.app. We will acknowledge within 30 days and answer as fast as we can. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113, without coming to us first.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top, and tell people directly if a change materially affects data we already hold.
